Quick Update

Hey all. Recently I’ve been doing some work under the direction of Lego and Disney to help promote the Prince of Persia movie coming out this month. Here is the two minute Lego mini movie we recently finished. I came onto this project towards the end. My work is in some of the textures, the night lighting (ex: jumping onto the camel, and Dastan leaping up onto the balcony after the hassasin leader), and rendering and compiling shots. Check it out!
In future projects I’ll get some animation work posted!

Mission accomplished! I successfully submitted the clip to the 11 second club for the February competition. Here is the clip I submitted, though I will be reworking stuff before I deem it reel ready. I know the character on the right looks a bit different than in the previous clips, but after struggling a couple days with that rig I had to bring in the big guns. Thank you Norman! If you like it, feel free to go vote for mine on the 11 second club website! I called it “Dancin’ Like A Fool”.
P.S. Please don’t get the wrong idea! I do not condone violence towards women….unless she reallllly deserves it.

Sick of it yet? haha, Now I’m just trying to see how badly I can get this catchy tune stuck in your heads, because here is another take! Fixes fixes and more fixes with all new finger movements and facial expressions! Thats right, Andy smiles. Yippy! Ok, tomorrow I’ll be adding some new poses. Promise.

Pinky Swear

I made a deal with a friend that we would both complete the 11 second club challenge this month…I know its late in the month already, but if i do not finish it, I’ll lose my pinky. Pinky swears are very important, and not to be messed with. The whole clip this month is music, so just about anything can happen. I’m choosing to show a crazily dancing girl and a grumpy fat man (no really, thats what the rig is named). Because I promised you at least a little playblast, I’ll show you just the first pass animation keys I have thus far. Some of the timing needs to be tweaked and adjustments here and there, but it’s a start. I’ll be showing progression throughout the week…hopefully a lot of progression…I’d like to keep my pinkies.

Sorry I haven’t updated in about a bjillion years. Ive been working on a second walk cycle to contrast the normal stride of the one I’ve already posted. It is going very slowly due to my work hours. Animation for Hargant is going well, it just takes up most of my days and nights, and I have spent little time on my own work.
I am hoping to add the second walk cycle, a new dialogue piece, perhaps a 4 legged walk cycle, and maybe some squash and stretch action or zips to make my reel more varied…Eventually that is.

Fall is the most beautiful time to hike in NY. In the last couple weeks I hiked Marcy on a one day trip and Phelps and Wright on a two day trip. This is my favorite picture from the whole ordeal.
